A retrospective of 30 years of new music commissions, performed by the Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber Players founded by renowned performance faculty artist Gilbert Kalish and currently directed by Eduardo Leandro. The Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber Players looks back over three decades of music composed for the Premieres Series, beginning with Princeton Professor of Music Steven Mackey's composition from the first concert in 1988, Mobius Band, looking ahead to the 2000's with Du Yun's Keep Something Broken and Alex Mincek's Color-Line-Form: 2, and a work "hot off the presses" by Jenny Beck entitled The Sky The Way It Looks for Us.
